The Lakeland Course, designed by Martin Hawtree, has been chosen to host many Championship Events, including the South West PGA and the MasterCard Tour Event. With four sets of tees from 7000 yards off the Championships tees to 6000 yards off the tees of the day it is an excellant test of golf for players of all standards. Laid out with generous fairways, beautifully sculptured greens and surrounded by cleverly placed bunkers. The holes are pleasantly varied and always inherent with options; no two rounds are the same.

The nine hole Woodland Course, although shorter, is equally outstanding with its rhododendron and tree lined fairways.

The whole 27 holes boast USGA specification greens and have no hills to climb.

Tank Museum

The Tank Museum's action packed summer programme will be roaring to life on Tuesday (25th July), with the awesome Tanks In Action display - followed by a parade of classic cars provided by the Bentley Drivers Club.

Tank Museum Spokesman Nik Wyness said; "Through out the summer, there will be four live action tank displays a week, and visitors will be able to discover for themselves what it is like to ride in a tracked vehicle as it thunders around the Museum arena."

The explosive Tanks In Action (Tuesdays and Thursdays) is a major forty-five minute display where visitors can witness the past roaring into life. The show culminates in a mock tank battle, featuring pyrotechnic explosions and a variety of historic armoured fighting vehicles, complete with expert commentary.
